I’ve been exchanging emails with the EIC of eXtasy Books and I’m excited to announce some updates and changes to my release schedule. You’ve probably noticed the shiny new cover for my next Lost Shifter book and wondered why I have it so soon. That’s because Shane’s Fury will be released a month early! So now it’s coming out March 15th. I’ll also be spacing the Drone Series out a bit since that series only has a few more books left in it. To fill the void I’ll be writing books about some of the secondary characters from Blast From The Past and Out Of Balance. This new series will…

    Why I love Michigan

Many people ask me why I set most of my books in the state of Michigan. The answer is quite simple really, it’s because I love this State. Some of my best childhood memories are going to Joe Louis to see the Wings play. Traveling with my parents to the Silverdome to see a Lions game. Or waking up early every Thanksgiving to watch the parade. No, not the Macy one, but the one in Detroit. Over the past few years it’s broken my heart to see my beloved state deteriorate the way it has. The foreclosure rate is at an all-time high, while the employment rate is at an…

    Lady Gaga-Born This Way

After much anticipation, at least at my house, Lady Gaga finally released her new single, Born This Way All I can say is this song is AMAZING. Good job, Lady Gaga, and thanks for being a voice for so many kids who can’t speak for themselves. [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4a8QtvOkBQ&w=425&h=349]

Notice to everyone who bought High Flow. During the last release date, the EIC of eXtasy had a death in her family and wasn’t there when all the books were finalized. As a result, they inadvertently uploaded a version of High Flow that had not gone through the final edits. They will be uploading the correct version today. If you would like a replacement copy email Jay Austin at eXtasy books jmmeditor@gmail.com. If you send her a PayPal or other purchase confirmation, she will send you a replacement, but it must be a confirmation of purchase prior to today’s date.

Not all chicken sandwiches believe in equal rights

Bryan Safi does it again! This time he takes on Chick-fil-A and their support of organizations who are against gay marriage. While there aren’t too many Chick-fil-A restaurants in my area, I did used to eat there whenever I visited my sister in Atlanta. Sure their chicken may be great, but not when it’s dosed with a bitter helping of anti-gay rhetoric. So they can keep their sandwiches and waffle fries, because I’ll never eat there again.

    The Gay Van

It’s been a month since my seventeen-year old son, Cody, came out. For the most part things have been going great. Both sides of the family fully accepted him for who he is, he has a great group of friends and he’s so much more comfortable in his skin. A couple of months ago, he even started the first GSA ever at his high school. Nearly all of the administration and staff at his school supported him. He did have some issues with getting one of the secretaries to announce the meetings and the school librarian has decided that he deserves a hundred or so dirty looks. His principle was…
